SkinKissed vitamin C serum – Review

.

I was recently approached by Skinkissed and asked if I would be willing to try out their product in exchange for an honest review on Amazon. I’m always cautious when approached by companies and won’t agree to do anything with a product I don’t think I will like/enjoy, or works for me.

After having a look at the product on Instagram and seeing it in use, I decided to give it a try and see if it could provide its claims!

Vitamin C Serum

Packaging:

The serum is in a lovely 20ml black bottle, with a gold band to the dropper and gold text. The bottle lists two of the main ingredients on the front, the rest are listed on the back of the bottle. The packaging is quite simple, yet elegant, it doesn’t take up much space and is perfect for popping into your bag.

The product:

The serum is a lightly coloured oil which has a slight rose scent. It can be used beneath your moisturiser as part of your skincare routine, as an acne treatment or as a primer under your foundation. It comes with a pipette to allow your to drop the serum out as needed – either onto your hand or straight onto your face. The product claims to be 100% cruelty-free, and not tested on animals!

Using:

The serum is very simple to use, simply squeeze out what’s needed and apply – by hand, or with a brush as part of your makeup routine. I have been using the serum day and night as part of my skincare routine, as well as using it before applying my BB Cream when applying makeup. I apply a few drops direct to my face (forehead, cheeks, and chin) and then rub in.

Break it down:

I have been using the serum for three weeks, at least twice a day, and am extremely pleased with the results. My spots cleared up quickly when I started using the product and have not had any further outbreaks since. I have found that my skin overall is much brighter and seems to be smoother! My skin sways from oily to dry in a matter of a few days, however, since using this product I have been pleasantly surprised with how nice and controlled my skin feels. It contains Hyaluronic Acid, which is known for hydrating your skin. The product doesn’t leave a residue or an unpleasant scent. Overall I have loved using this product and will continue to do so as part of my routine!
